1970年代に第1次黄金時代を築くが、
その代償とも言える麻薬や人間関係の問題で、
1980年代前半は低迷。

全員が麻薬中毒の治療のため、更生施設に入院。
これは、落ちても這い上がろうとした彼らの執念の表れとして、
今も語り継がれている。

その後、ロック史にも珍しい復活（1985年）を果たし、
商業的には1970年代を上回る第2次黄金期を築いた。

そういう経歴を持つ偉大なバンド、エアロスミス。
